This groundbreaking 1994 Brandeis Brief (Steffan v. Aspin), relying on the Reisman research, and sponsored by the Admirals and members of the US Naval Aviation Foundation, was instrumental in maintaining "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" as military policy. The brief was not discussed in the 2010 decision to repeal DADT.
